Sounds like a good find. I really like the sound of P90's. I've had that happen before when I say I'm going to take my time on a major purchase, and then fall in love with the first or second one you look at. Then you have to tell your friends (and/or wife), "no, seriously! This is the one!"

In regards to the Epis, I'd say they are prolly good for the road. It's my impression that Gibson's aren't as durable as say a Fender. Head stocks can be prone to cracking and the glued necks aren't as stout as a bolt on. Not that they are fragile, but you know. Better to take out the Epiphone version that still sounds pretty much the same. I caught my two year old standing on the back of my P-bass (don't ask) and it was still mostly in tune when I picked it up. Another reason I like Fenders.
