Why am I surprised when I voice an opinion about something on here and get bombarded by an overzealous idiot who takes it out of context?
Was I there? Obviously not. Have I seen Superdrag time and time again, year after year? Sure have. Every incarnation and lineup change that's come down the pipe. Do I have stacks of live recordings, video footage from concerts, etc? Have I been listening to Superdrag for almost nine years now? Yup and yup.
So your're going to have to take my comments as an honest opinion directed towards perspective CD buyers and an educated opinion to be discussed with fans who hold the band up to the light once in a while and compare them to what they have done in the past. I realize the limitations of the soundboard, the acoustics of the venue, shorts in the mic, etc. I'm just speaking of the harmonies, the notes, the tightness of the performance. and I realize that a bad soundboard can cause delays, etc.

I said it was good...I'm just saying that it doesn't hold a flame to 95% of the other raw live superdrag stuff I've collected over the past 7 or so years.
So if you want to get lame and attack me for not being there or >GULP!< suggesting that superdrag has lost some of it's steam over the last few years as a live band, then get out the rope and let's have a lynching because that's exactly what I'm saying.
Just let it be known to others who are interested in live stuff, wait for the mastered version or download what you can find on the net. Don't let this last live show be the final recording you remember John and the boys by. They're capable of so much more.
And to andy, thanks for the intelligent response. I know there are more than a few people on here who are up for actual discussion without starting a pissing match over an opinion. I appreciate your comments and points.
